A successful peace means both sides have to feel it's a win win
Media Appearance: Talking Ukraine War on Indian News

Last night, I joined Republic TV to discuss the Ukraine War and the potential negotiations following President Trump’s calls with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

I have cautioned against a drawn-out, bureaucratic peace process in the past. However, SecDef Hegseth’s assertion that this will not be another Minsk 3.0 is encouraging.

One point I want to clarify is my Euroskepticism—particularly regarding Germany’s approach. In Minsk 2.0, Angela Merkel acted in Germany’s best interest, as any leader would. But let’s not pretend that European powers prioritize Ukraine’s sovereignty over their direct dealings with Russia. History tells us that for Germany, Eastern Europe has always been treated as negotiating collateral.

Hard truths, but necessary ones.
